I'm a big fan of GP Ultra alkaline batteries. They are as good, if not better than any of the other makes.Out of the pack each battery measures 1.62V. This will slowly drop away, but the voltage remains around the 1.4/1.5 volt longer than others. They will last unused for years. The date on these is April 2031, and I have no doubt they would still be perfectly fine on that date.Yes, they are made in China, but that means nothing, nearly everything is, and as long as the testing is consistent, there is no reason to think that the manufacturing standards are anything other than top notch. They are free from Mercury and Cadmium.I have bought them countless times for work, and they've never let me down.I hope you found this review helpful.Okay, these are very cheap for the quantity so that is great, do they last as long as some of the more well-known brands? The answer is no unfortunately not but if you have things like remote controls for your TV etc that you don't use that often then these are ideal.I would not say that the battery life is terrible as that is not the case they just do not last as long and I am sorry but I cannot provide scientific statistics to back this up, however I do know that using them in devices you use every day they do deplete quicker than the well-known brands. If your children have toys and they keep forgetting to switch them off then these are so cheap but highly acceptable it makes them good value for money.I would buy these again.Really good quality batteries, I've been coming back to these for a while since they just work well and are really good value for the price.I've been using these mainly for controllers and remotes but I'm not afraid to use them in more power-hungry devices. I haven't had any leaks or problems with these so far so have no complaints. They last long enough to justify them, not as long as more expensive brands like Duracell however the price of these makes them more cost-effective.The packaging is pretty good and I usually end up using the plastic box it comes in as a little storage device so they don't roll about in my draws.Would recommend. The box wasnt damaged but all the + terminals were pressed into the body of the battery meaning they wouldnt make contact in any devices. One battery had a large dent in its side too.Item returned.I have used these before and they have been OK but this looked like a quality control problem so wont be buying again as I dont want to risk getting a box of duds again.Been using this company for a couple of years now and always found to be good value. I keep a box of batteries in the cupboard as you never know when they are going to be needed. Seem to last as long as some of the more expensive brands so happy customer. Always a good service.Have noticed that this brand is being stocked in local trade stores for similar prices, so if your desperate and willing to collect that may be an option.
